I have a question…

Do you care about developer performance? The answer is critical…and impactful.

Developer performance has many facets:

  • Developer Experience
  • Developer Productivity
  • Engineering Enablement
  • Engineering Productivity

Each of these are slightly different but “Developer Performance” seems to capture the sentiment nicely.

The central idea is to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and friction in a development/engineering organization and solve them.

The cause of these problems could be:

  • Technical
  • Organizational
  • Tooling
  • Processes
  • Scheduling
  • Leadership

The list goes on.

Let me be blunt.

Developer performance objectively matters.

But does it matter to you?

To your organization?

Maybe you haven’t thought about it yet?

Maybe you want to start but don’t know how?

Perhaps you are trying to transform your organization but it’s not going as quickly or as smoothly as you had hoped?

If you ignore improving Developer Performance you are leaving tens of thousands/hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars on the table.

There is often a TON of low-hanging fruit that’s ripe for the picking.

Developers and Engineers matter and want to be somewhere where it’s easy to do important and valuable work.

Help them and realize the benefits.

If something here resonates with you, REPLY and let me know.

Best,

Andre
